TV Chef Opposes Tesco

In contrast to the many celebrities who take cash to advertise Tesco, at last one is willing to oppose them. C list celebs include; Paul Daniels, Ronnie Corbett, Frankie Dettorie, Alan Wicker, Alan Titchmarsh, Spice Girls, Martine McCutcheon, Naomi Campbell & Dawn French. Jamie Oliver works for Sainsbury.

Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall calls on Tesco shareholders to protest over cheap chickens living in factory farms. The media is covering it here. Hugh has a few weblinks, here www.rivercottage.net, and www.chickenout.tv, and here.

Its meant for British people, those with share in Tesco, or to those willing to buy them. Hugh has submitted a resolution to be moved at the company’s AGM at the end of June. The resolution and supporting statement can be read and downloaded at www.chickenout.tv.

If you are an existing shareholder and wish to appoint me as your proxy to vote in favour of the proposed resolution on your behalf, we will be making proxy forms available for download shortly. Alternatively, you will have received one, and advice about proxy alternatives, in your AGM pack from Tesco Plc.

If you are not a Tesco shareholder and wish to support me, further details about this announcement are set out in the message below along with details of how to become a Tesco shareholder through Cave & Sons, an independent investment management stockbroking and financial services company.

Please forward this email to any friends/ family, observing the opening statements at the top of the page.

Thanks

Hugh
